At work
- Settling into my new role as Staff Architect at Tenstorrent.
- Leading the fabric work on a RISC-V CPU chiplet SoC: getting CPU clusters, the coherent fabric, and an AI compute engine to run firmware together.
- Pushing executable specifications further: specs you can run, which generate golden models, RTL, and formal checks.
- Handing the NoC simulator to a teammate and moving my modeling time to the coherent CPU fabric.
Thinking about
- How hardware teams should work when AI writes much of the RTL, and how humans still review it. (Using AI Well Starts with Redesigning the Workflow)
- Why verification is the clearest way for an architect to state intent. (Verification Is an Architect’s Love Language)
Outside work
- Open water swimming, when the Bay Area water allows. (What open water swimming taught me)
- Mentoring interns and talking with university groups about chiplet and fabric research.
